La Confrérie des Gâteaux de Lyon

The players take on the role of Interpol agents drawn into a bizarre but increasingly serious investigation surrounding the secretive Lyonwald Cherry Cake Society, a hidden organization that appears to be behind a growing series of bakery-related crimes, media manipulations, and institutional infiltrations across Lyon and beyond. What begins with a briefing and an unusual “imposter” team-building exercise quickly escalates into a full-scale international investigation involving a devastated pastry shop crime scene, mysterious cherry kernels, threatening letters signed by a figure named Camille E., and clues pointing toward a national baking convention in Lyon.

As the investigation unfolds, the agents are led through a chain of increasingly surreal environments: a baking trade fair where surveillance and shadowing reveal emotional and romantic correspondences between multiple “Camilles,” a newspaper office where access to key information depends on producing a high-quality article, and a medical practice filled with hidden passages and symbolic cake imagery tied to administrative corruption and tax manipulation. Each lead exposes another layer of the society’s influence, revealing that the organization is not just criminal but deeply embedded in journalism, healthcare, bureaucracy, and legal structures.

The conspiracy grows further as the agents discover that the Lyonwald society is actively shaping public opinion and policy—pushing for reduced taxation on desserts, influencing health recommendations, manipulating media narratives through cooking shows, and even attempting to redefine cultural identity around the “Lyon-style cherry cake.” Eventually, the investigation leads through corporate-style job trials, bureaucratic simulations, and staged work environments designed to test both linguistic skills and loyalty under pressure.

In the final arc, the agents uncover televised propaganda events, political connections to city officials, and the existence of a hidden bakery beneath the city administration itself. The campaign culminates in a high-stakes infiltration beneath Lyon’s cathedral and catacombs, where the true structure of the society and its leadership is finally confronted during a climactic operation blending espionage, deception, and linguistic mastery.
