The Language Centre of Saarland University in Saarbrücken, Germany warmly invites students to participate in the Language Learning RPG "The Romance Forest". The programme offers an intensive and innovative learning format in which students learn one of three languages through an immersive and playful approach. Participants can choose between French, Italian, and Spanish.

The Story

You find yourselves on a strange campus surrounded by forests and nature - the home of mystical creatures from different cultures. How will you handle the situation?

Where and When

Online: 15 & 26 February 2027 (2 hours each)
On site: 8-12 March 2027, Saarbrücken

Who Can Participate

Students (BA, MA, PhD) from T4EU partner universities - minimum B1 level in the chosen language

How Does the Concept Work?

The programme is based on tabletop role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons. Throughout the entire course, all participants play their own self-created characters. Together, they improvise, explore the world described by the instructor, and solve puzzles and tasks, all in the target language.

• 3 ECTS credits
• Participation is funded through Erasmus+
